Technology:
Over the past three years, Software AG has been developing a new system environment for innovative electronic business solutions via the Internet and wireless communications. It is based on the new standard, XML (eXtensible Markup Language), which will be used by all software companies. Software AG is the technological leader in XML and, according to independent market analysts, more than a year ahead of its competitors worldwide.

Software AG has expanded its focus on middleware/EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) in order to extend its leadership into the total business integration space. As XML is the primary enabler of all integration technologies and applications, TBI (Total Business Integration) is certain to be based on this standard as well.
