Technology:
Over the past three years, Software AG has been developing
a new system environment for innovative electronic business
solutions via the Internet and wireless communications.
It is based on the new standard, XML (eXtensible Markup
Language), which will be used by all software companies.
Software AG is the technological leader in XML and,
according to independent market analysts, more than
a year ahead of its competitors worldwide.
Software AG has expanded its focus on middleware/EAI
(Enterprise Application Integration) in order to extend
its leadership into the total business integration space.
As XML is the primary enabler of all integration technologies
and applications, TBI (Total Business Integration) is
certain to be based on this standard as well.

Products:
With its Tamino XML Server, Software AG offers a
whole range of XML-based products for the development
and integration of applications and processing and storage
of data. At the core of Tamino XML Server is a database
that stores and processes information in the XML format
without having to convert it first. |
EntireX is Software AG's middleware product and is a comprehensive
solution for integrating platforms and applications within
the enterprise and beyond. It enables organizations to integrate
their existing data with new programs. For example, information
that is stored in enterprise systems can be Web-enabled with
EntireX.
It has been 30 years since Software AG unveiled Adabas, one
of the world's first databases. Adabas is run primarily on
mainframes and is relied on by companies for more than 15
years as the basis for many mission-critical transactions.
Today Software AG is successfully selling Version 7 of the
database. The perfect complement to Adabas is Natural, Software
AG's programming language also used for development of mainframe
applications.
System software vendor:
Numerous burgeoning software companies are implementing Tamino
to ensure the future extensibility of their software solutions.
By using Software AG's development tools and system technology,
they can build customer and industry-specific solutions that
enable them to adopt new ways of conducting electronic business.
Software AG delivers the world's leading technology for a
fast growing labor-intensive segment of the software industry.
