LS Retail Basis
LS Retail Basis is the Head Office and Back Office
part of LS Retail. It is a powerful retail management
system that creates the link between your POS Terminals and
Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) - Navision.
At the head office, LS Retail enables the chain
manager to organize and control the stores. It facilitates
the central management of the chains price- and discount
policies, directly from head office to POS level.
In a single or multi-store environment, the store manager
uses LS Retail for local pricing and discount administration,
shelf labeling, goods reception, report making, end-of-day
procedures, etc.
LS Retail PlusPOS
PlusPOS is the Point-of-Sale (POS) application in LS
Retail. PlusPOS is a fast, dependable and powerful POS application
with a customizable graphic user interface. PlusPOS works
off-line for optimal resilience, yet offers on-line benefits
at the same time.
PlusPOS includes effective functionality for sales, supporting
inventory control, customer tracking, accounts receivables,
invoicing, delivery notes, cash drawer reconciliation, check
cashing, and much more.
PlusPOS can be used on both keyboard and touch screen equipment,
and offers features that make sales transactions easy to set
up, manage and process for any retail business. PlusPOS sets
new standards for speed, ease-of-use and error-free processing
of retail sales. The system has an integrated real-time accounting
and powerful inventory control.
PlusPOS is available in different versions: for the general
retail segment, hospitality and hand-held devices to operate
in mixed store environments.
Add-ons: LS Retail Hospitality
Hospitality is designed to serve the general hospitality segment
of the market, both in fast paced demanding outlets and fine
dining restaurants with table service.
PlusPOS Hospitality is a fast, reliable and powerful POS system

Add-ons: LS Retail Recipe
Recipe is an add-on module developed within Microsoft
Business Solutions - Navision for central kitchens, restaurants,
delis and others. Recipe is an enhanced costing function for
recipe planning.
Recipe provides a user friendly menu for recipes and materials
that calculates the profit margin for each and every course.
Comparisons between estimated and actual sales are convenient
and straightforward. Connections to LS Retail PlusPOS
are customizable and menu icons, prices and specials can update
automatically or via time schedules.
Add-ons: LS PlusPOS Mobile
PlusPOS Mobile is a special version of PlusPOS and Hospitality
that uses the latest wireless technology to provide full POS
functionality on pocket PCs.
Add-ons: LS Data Director
The Data Director is the third generation of database replicators
from LS. A totally new design gives the Data Director
the ability to exchange data faster than previous generations.
The new design also enables the Data Director to exchange
data with databases that are not based on Microsoft
Business Solution (MBS) - Navision.
The Data Director was designed to increase the speed of replication
over Wide Area Networks (WAN). The Data Director sends data
much faster and requires less bandwidth than previous generations.
These features are quite important to users with databases
in different areas or regions due to saved communication costs.
The Data Director speeds up the replication process by preprocessing
the data. Before the data is sent, it is put into packages
that can be re-sent to many destinations. This reduces drastically
the time spent reading data from the source database, since
it is only necessary to read the data once, even if it is
sent to many different destinations. Before the packages are
sent, they are compressed which shortens transmission time
even more. The end result is that the Data Director can be
up to 20 times faster than the previous database replication
solutions when performing typical replication jobs.
The Data Director is versatile. In addition to being able
to communicate with all versions of MBS Navision, it
can also communicate with Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and 2000,
Microsoft Access, Oracle 8i, MySQL and IBM DB2. This makes
the DataDirector the ideal tool to integrate MBS - Navision
into IT environments using these databases. Due to the DataDirectors
plug-in based interface, support to databases from other vendors
can be added with little effort.
The Data Director is resilient to network and server breakdowns.
In case of a network or server breakdown, packages are queued
up until connection has been re-established and the transmission
can continue. The Data Director also ensures that packages
are received in the same order as they were sent, which is
important in order to keep source and destination databases
synchronized.
Remote administration is built into the Data Director. Abnormal
events are logged into the Microsoft Windows Event Log. The
Data Director is managed through the familiar MBS - Navision
environment. Like previous versions, it is fully integrated
with MBS - Navision and LS Retail.
Add-ons: LS Advanced Statistics
Advanced Statistics provides reliable, real-time insight into
the critical aspects of your Retail business such as: comparison
of stores, breakdown of sales according to time-periods, single
employee or staff comparisons, POS terminal comparison or
simply POS terminals with drill-downs over different
periods.
The user-defined alerts are designed to ensure that the management
can act quickly and effectively, when required.
